USA Today ran an associated press article about the recent court case in California where former players from the National Football League have been granted court permission to bring a class action lawsuit against the NFL.
The outcome of this litigation can mean millions of dollars for the retired players if they prevail. See the whole article here: Former NFL players can sue union over licensing deal

Breaking into the business - An Interview with Wesley Bullock
Many people are interested in breaking into the sports and entertainment businesses. Today I am posting an interview on the subject. Many people will find it useful to listen in to the conversation so they can fine tune or begin to develop their plan and strategy for breaking into the business.
This is a conversation between Don West, Jr. and Wesley Bullock on April 29, 2008. The basic topic is sports and entertainment law and breaking into the business. Wesley will be attending the University of Miami School of Law in the fall of 2008 and will be interning with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in Los Angeles, CA over the summer. Wesley was referred to the Legacy Lawyer by Therese Lambert from the UM Law School's recruiting office.
Wesley was the senior class president at Howard University for the '06-'07 academic year and has recently completed his M.B.A. Wesley has agreed to be a contributor to this blog in the future on the topics of sports and entertainment law.
